Hello I'm wondering if anyone has any advice , my four year old had had about five cases of tonsilitis since November 2023 , I took her to the doctors concerned that her tonsils were quite large I will attach photos from when she didn't had tonsilitis and when she did , as even when she doesn't they are normally quite red and inflamed, I spoke with my cousin who works at the hospital and she said it looked like she had grade three tonsils at one side atleast. When I spoke with her doctor she had a report from before where she had put on her medical history that her tonsils were bug but because of her snoring at night time she referred her to ENT (ears nose and throat) she had her appointment this morning , i had everything ready for her to look at the photos , videos of her mouthbrwathing in her sleep and also of her snoring and even a video showing that I think she has sleep apnea which you can see in the video she stops breathing a few times for a couple of seconds and once for atleast ten seconds but I was dismissed by the doctors, she wouldn't look at the pictures I had of her throat , she wouldn't look at the videos, she looked in her mouth and said rhey were big but she wasn't concerned and she also said that snoring is absolutely normal for children when I got told by a doctor previous to that that it isn't normal , ny beat friend also has children with breathing difficulties and she has been told by multiple professionals that snoring in their sleep when rheybare young is not normal if ut is frequent I felt pretty much like I was being contradicted when I know that something is wrong with my child, she hasn't slept thriygh the night in months , constantly complaining about her throat, she told me they need to do a sleep study on her to make sure she has sleep apnea, I was trying to show her videos on ny phone I have taken , which show she has sleep apnea , I am no way a professional but I know my child and I know what sleep apnea is because of my friends child , I have known children to go to an ent appointment and their mums show videos of them sleeping and pictures of their throat and they have said they need them removing I just don't understand why I am being dismissed and made to feel like I'm being paranoid, even ky cousin who worked at the hospital has said she thinks they need removing. She is a nurse for ENT as well. I'm just very confused and I was wondering if anyone has gone through something simular and if I should get a second opinion and if thsres anyone who is a specialist in this or in this line of work could give me some advice as i feel like she wasnt given a full assessment and i wasnt listen to , I will attach the photos now
