Never had chicken pox, rarely ill other than ear infections.
Always covered in scrapes and grazes though which I thought was normal but DD has never so much as grazed her knee and I have shocking spatial awareness and am still quite clumsy misjudging door frames and clipping them as I walk through so perhaps it was a me thing.

Hemakesmesmile2 · 09/04/2024 23:56

I had quite bad eczema and skin allergies to things like washing detergent. Apart from that nothing major.

gano · 09/04/2024 23:57

I know I had flu as a tiny baby, but just coughs and colds after that. I picked up a horrendous stomach bug, age 7, after playing in a dirty puddle over a drain. Didn't get chickenpox until I was 15, and then I was very unwell. I'd say I was a healthy child.

Very healthy, we all were, also mixed race, and I think that is helpful.

DrJoanAllenby · 10/04/2024 00:02

Chicken pox and cannot ever remember being unwell.

stargazer24 · 10/04/2024 16:00

I remember having a lot of ear/throat infections over the years but other than that fine.

Superscientist · 10/04/2024 16:44

Frequent croup and a baby/toddler then frequent tonsillitis, up to 10 times a year, from a 2 until 14 when they took them out.
Depression and anxiety starting aged 8 but only recognised looking back. Significant problem from 14, diagnosed at 18
Disordered eating from 10, diagnosed with anorexia aged 18, then bulimia.

KeepingItUnderTheRadar · 10/04/2024 16:46

Frequent bouts of tonsillitis, all through childhood, several times a year. Other than that fine!

boobot1 · 10/04/2024 17:10

Never ill,but I did have chicken pox, measles and mumps all without any issue. Actually felt normal with measles, but remember milking it as it looked much worse than I felt. Made poor dad do a Disney marathon. Chicken pox , I got about 5 spots and felt totally normal. Mumps was the worst, but was still up and about. Even now I tend to get over things in a few days. As Id had zero vaccines not bad. Oh had scarlet fever too, again not much to talk about, ill a few days, then fine.

Comedycook · 10/04/2024 17:13

Don't remember many illnesses. I have no idea if I had chicken pox or not but I remember my mum and sister had it...not sure if I got it too. I remember having scaret fever. Other than that, just the usual ear infections and colds. I always suffered terribly with colds and still do...which I blame on the amount of passive smoke I was exposed to.

Dacadactyl · 10/04/2024 17:16

Had mumps once and remember that I felt rough then.

Had chicken pox but was fine with it.

Other than that, never more than a sniffle.

As an adult, I'm very healthy too and even when I got covid once I didn't know I had it.

Poundshop · 10/04/2024 17:16

I was anaemic, on and off. Had lots of viruses.

Had various childhood illnesses - tonsillitis, mumps, chickenpox, salmonella, scarlet fever.

I was always having UTIs and threadworms.

Spendonsend · 10/04/2024 17:28

Endless tonsillitis until my tonsils were removed and then I got chest infections every winter for weeks, until i was around 25.
