MMR RASH

Hi, my daughter had her pre school booster on Tuesday. On Friday evening she started developing a rash all over her body. On Saturday it had turned into a hives type rash and was really aggressive. We went to the walk in centre and they said it was just a reaction to the vaccine. They gave us anti histamine drops and said it would go away. It got worse overnight and included swelling of the hands feet and lips. Did anyone else experience this and how long did it last for. She has absolutely no other symptoms but a rash so aggressive is obviously very worrying. Thank you for any experiences you may have had

I think as you have been seen my medical professionals then they are probably correct but if you are worried ring 111 and see if you can get a second opinion .

We were advised that DS could get a rash after his vaccine with a temp .

If it’s getting worse with swelling and the anti histamine is not helping I’d ring 111

Report the reaction.

You can double dose 10 minutes apart if a reaction isn't going. That's what we've to do with dd and then phone an ambulance if it hasn't subsided after another 60 seconds.

We haven’t had this but dd had hers nearly two weeks ago and has been running a fever on and off ever since.
I would take her back if it’s getting worse
