As a bit of a background, my daughter, 3, constantly gets coughs and cold due to being at nursery. But the coughs don’t go away, they keep her up all evening and when she is running about. She is very tired and sometimes I think a bit sad that she can’t play as much as she wants because the cough holds her back. She has a brown inhaler which worked to begin with and then we got a blue one which doesn’t work at all. I just wondered if anybody could offer advice or help as to what could be going on here. Or if others have been going through similar things.
Thank you

Mine did similar and it seems nowadays the cough lingers.
Childrens piriton actually helped mine who has eczema and suspected asthma.

Pillows a little higher, always keep an ear on the pillow when going to sleep helps mine as does the dehumidifier.
Open windows when you can for an hour at least.

Ice pops and sip cold drinks.
Crushed spearmint polo mint on tongue.

Good luck.

Has she had a review for her inhalers? She might just need a slightly higher dosage.
DD was exactly like this and was given a brown inhaler which helped massively, it seems she is alot more affected in the colder months so the nurse upped her dosage and we bring it back down in spring/summer. We get a review every 6 months or so

How much of the blue puffer can she have, on her wheeze management plan? (Just checking she isn't stuck on only 2 puffs, which is just for mild symptoms)

Have you been taught how to give the inhaler effectively? With a spacer, how to count etc.
