rash spreading

I was told last week my 4yr old had hand foot and mouth. But today saw a doctor as its not been healing. She wasn't convinced it was hfm but didn't say what else it could be either. He's fine in himself so been told to use Piriton and moisturiser. However tonight it seems to be spreading further down his groin and bits on his back and armpit. Also around the mouth. They don't blister just very red and patchy. He's been quite irritable but I think that's his age. It's been 11 days. Any ideas?

It does feel rough yes. I was surprised that the doctor didn't seem that concerned tbh

No such thing as ott when it comes to kids health. As long as child is ok in themselves then dr's again tomorrow. If they're not ok tonight then 111. Never too cautious
