Headaches and vomiting

DD is 8 and autistic, can find it tricky to communicate what's going on in her body.

Over the past year we've noticed a pattern that she will complain of a headache, get very pale, and a few minutes later vomit violently. She then feels completely better. No indications of infection / tummy bug etc., always one isolated incident of vomiting and always linked to a headache. This has probably happened 6-8 times in the last year.

Does this sound like a migraine? I have an appt booked to see the GP but they can tend to be a bit shruggy-off and I'm not sure what I'm asking them to rule out / consider.

My DD from age 8 and started puberty had Ice Pick headaches, similar to migraine. Her right eyebrow would ache and within hours she'd have intense pain, vomiting, couldn't bear lights.
Then a few years of having them every few months after she started her periods they stopped. She's 14 now and (touch wood) it's been 2 years since the last one.
I keep the Migraine cold strips indoors just in case.
GP said it's fairly common

100% migraine. My son is exactly the same. Has been to see specialists and has been diagnosed. It runs in our family and unfortunately for him he drew the migraine genetic short straw.

It's fucking annoying for him but good to know ultimately not serious and he's likely to grow out of it at some point.

My DS gets this. We think it may be linked to dehydration or perhaps anxiety as it often happens after competitive sports.
