I am brand new here, I have just found this website.

My daughter has suddenly started to complain tonight of belly pain all over. Has been on and off the loo but nothing is coming out. Has been fine and well all day went to gymnastics club no dramas. Since about 8pm has said she feels sick and cant settle. I have given her paracetamol at 9 when after the pain didnt pass. She also has a fever of 39.8. Im just stuck shes never had anything like this before and has gone from being fine to not rapidly.

I have called our local out of hours number waiting for them to call me back. I know there's lots going round any tips or tricks? My other daughter / her twin is absolutely fine

How's she doing today @QueenW ?

QueenW · 27/03/2024 13:03

She is very lethargic today. She woke up with a headache in the night, she has sever fecal impaction and they did an enema this morning with very little success. She is drinking little sips of water. She is having a colonoscopy and endoscopy first thing tomorrow. She is as grey looking and not my child at the moment there is no spark in her x

I'm sorry to hear she's not well, I'm glad you are in hospital and being seen to.

Oh gosh. Your poor DD. And you too. I hope they can get to the bottom of it s soon and that you have good support.

QueenW · 28/03/2024 12:43

She's had her camera up and down this morning. She's still asleep. The preparation was horrible and so painful for her. They also did a bladder scan and belly ultrasound last night. They haven't really told us what they think yet.

How is your DD now?

QueenW · 31/03/2024 13:18

She's a bit better but very sleepy. She's had some vitamins, paracetamol, anti sickness and fluids through the IV in her arm.

She has two ulcers one at the top and the other at the bottom of her tummy. They have just tired her with food this morning she ate a little but not much.

Sorry for the delay in updating it's been a stressful weekend

You're in the best place.

BabyEmber · 02/04/2024 18:05

How is DD @QueenW?

QueenW · 02/04/2024 18:45

@BabyEmber she is doing much better now thank you. She is back eating soft food and drinking. Still in hospital for the next few days as she is only having one meal a day orally. The pain when the liquid touches the ulcer is unbearable for her :(
