Red Patches on baby’s back. Ringworm?

Hello, looking for advice. My baby has developed these red patches on his back. Originally there was two, now another red patch starting to come up at the top of his neck. Does this look like ringworm? He had this when he was a newborn after injections so I have started using the cream tonight on him again but just wondering if anyone else has seen similar?

Looks like discoid eczema to me

OldTinHat · 25/03/2024 19:49

Eczema.

It has spread now to under his neck. Could this still be Eczema? I’m going to try and get a GP app for tomorrow

I would also agree it could be discoid eczema, although that looks very, very similar to ringworm and other fungal infections, so definitely one to ask the GP or pharmacist.

What routine are you in with baths? You need to do as few as possible, and always moisturise afterwards. Use minimal if any soap or shampoo.

Then see. It looks like eczema to me.

That is not ringworm!

Just Incase anyone finds this thread looking for answers this did end up being ringworm. Finally cleared up after using Dakacort for weeks followed by Daktarin & constant boil washing everything!
