Scarlet fever?

My DD8 had her tonsils out 4 months ago after repeated tonsillitis/ scarlet fever for 2 awful years. She’s been great ever since.
yesterday she came down with what I thought was start of a bad cold- easily upset, tired, bit sniffly, etc. thought nothing more of it.
however she woke at 5am very hot saying her throat feels like it has knives in it. I’ve had a look but because she’s not got any tonsils it’s hard for me to tell- it does look red but the usual white tonsils aren’t there to see 🤷‍♀️she’s hot at 39 degrees and hasn’t left bed which is unheard of for her. She’s eating and drinking tiny amounts but only when I really push it.

however I noticed her itching away and had a peek under her pajamas and she has a raised bumpy rash that is red in Patches and feels a bit rough so I’m worried it’s scarlet fever ☹️is this even possible with no tonsils? And do I need her seen today or can it wait till tomorrow? I know strep A isn’t something to delay treatment for but I’m still hopeful I’m wrong and it’s just a viral itchy rash 🤞🤞our local out of hours is 1 hour 20 mins away and then a long wait so a long way with her if not needed when she really just
wants to be relaxing in bed. WWYD today?

I’d get a GP appointment first thing, she doesn’t want to be travelling that far today when she’s unwell.

Yes she got upset at the thought of having to even leave bed let alone go to out of hours 🤦‍♀️tomorrow will be ok if it’s scarlet fever to get started on antibiotics won’t it? I’m just nervous of letting it go untreated ☹️but really really don’t want to drag her out when she’s feeling so rubbish and just wants to watch tv snuggled up in bed
