Chest congestion / mucus help

My 14 month old daughter has a cold. She is well in herself and happy, but sounds so mucusy and congested. I've taken her to the GP twice as I was worried about a chest infection. She doesn't have one, they said the noise is coming from all the mucus and to come back if she has a fever for a few days and or struggles to breathe (or go to a&e for breathing).

Anyway, what's best to do to help her with all the mucus? We have a cool air humidifier and make sure she drinks plenty as well as steamy bathrooms. Is there anything else I can do to help her? Thank you!
