Forehead thermometer

I have a digital head thermometer, the box doesn't really say where to aim it.
I've looked online and most say forehead, some say temple but that the temple will always read warmer than the forehead. I've been doing both and getting different readings, which is the accurate place?!

I’ve always aimed for the middle of the forehead personally. During the pandemic when you had to get your temperature checked to go into the GP etc that’s where they always aimed it.

Just do the same place every time so you can see if her temperature is going up or down. I find the readings do vary a bit with ours so I do it a few times and it’s usually fairly obvious if my DS has a high temperature.

I point it at the middle of the head a bit back from the skin - in that area where your body can sense something is close, if that makes sense. Point it at someone not I'll to check they come up as 36.8ish and then you know it's reliable on the not well one.

Middle of the forehead. Sorry! Must read message before posting!!!

Thankyou, I feel reassured I've been doing it right. The GP always does foreheads but at work they do the temple and it's always warmer that way. I'll continue with the forehead 👍🏻👍🏻

The ear thermometers are much more reliable.
