How to give movicol

Ds 12 is on the disimpaction regime. He's on 8 sachets a day now. problem is I was giving it directly into pure orange juice which he managed ok. I then read you are meant to put it in water first so it 'binds' and then add the juice but now he says it's disgusting this way and he feels vomitey after it. Is it ok to go back to directly in pure orange as surely it has water in it? Anyone any experience?

I’m not sure OP. My son was on movicol and then cosmocol (the equivalent) from age 10 months until he was 10yo 😩 but I always just gave it with water and he happily drank it.

Sorry, I meant to say just bribe him with chugging it down quickly maybe? Hope it helps.

You do need to mix it with water first. You could try chilling it before adding to juice as it’s more palatable when cold.
My DD will drink it mixed into milk at the moment, we have had success with thick yoghurt and smoothies in the past. We tried fruit juice but that was a no go.
