Leg pain

My 3yo DS has been complaining of leg pain most days. It seems to be very short lived and sudden and not terribly sore or debilitating. Often happens when getting out the bath or suddenly when going upstairs.
Has anyone's child had similar? I'm expecting it's growing pains but I do worry it could be something more sinister.

How long ago did it start?

Does he show other signs of pain as well as saying it?

To be honest I think it's best to listen to young children if they consistently describe a pain somewhere over a few days and I'd get him checked over.

If he gets a high temperature then have him seen straight away.

DD had growing pains which started when she was 4 but it would wake her up in the night mostly and was very painful and would stop her sleeping.

More recently she developed a pain in her foot which wasn't growing pains and turned out to be an infection. There was nothing to look at on examining the foot. She had very high fevers as well though.

Thanks so much. I've done an e consult and will wait for the doctor.
