Does anyone know what these spots could be? There's only the 2 but they've come up in the last hour but got bigger...toddler isn't complaining about them (trying to attach a photo)

Bites I'd say. Fleas?

CaraMiaMonCher · 08/03/2024 11:33

No idea as yet, I’d just watch and wait and see if any more come up or if these just disappear.

Near enough impossible to be fleas, we don't have any pets and have been staying in a hotel for a couple of weeks. The hotel doesn't allow pets either

Might be a contact dermatitis, if he's maybe brushed up against something that's irritated him.

DontGiveADuck · 08/03/2024 12:20

They look like bites.

Bug bites from hotel

Is that possible even though myself and my husband don't have any bites and LO has been sleeping in our bed?

Yes I would say bed bug bites. You'll have to take some extreme measures to not bring them home with you if it is. And yes, totally possible even if others don't have bites, not everyone reacts to them. It can also take up to a couple of weeks for them to show so possible he's been bitten from day 1. You'll have to see if he gets any more over the next few days.

Edited

Just odd that we've been here nearly 3 weeks and they've only just come up and only the 2 on the hand

Are you abroad? If you're somewhere tropical he might have just been bitten during the day, but I would inspect the room (lots of videos online show you where / how to look) and take precautions with luggage when coming home.

DontGiveADuck · 09/03/2024 08:12

They could just be insect bites. Mosquitoes etc.

Jjones123 · 09/03/2024 09:33

Not abroad no, still in uk! I'll keep an eye, they're not bothering her

No still no clue, she gets rashes quite bad when she’s poorly so potentially some sort of reaction to a viral infection
