Hi,
my son is on day 4/5 of chicken pox. What’s everyone’s opinion on his one on his face?
ftm, I’ve got honestly no clue what to look out for / when to be concerned and I get such bad health anxiety so I do over worry!

thank you

Stick some sudocrem on it and evaluate it in the morning?

Calamine cream should help. Remember never give ibroprofen for chicken pox

Thank you, I’m going to put some sudocreme on it. I’m honestly so anxious and it’s infected! Hopefully okay to wait until morning?!

Yes. It's one spot. He'll be fine.

@Shortandfat Thank you. Fingers crossed it looks better in the morning :)

Just loooks like it’s scabbing over to me. Possibly been rubbed/irritated perhaps.

Lalalouloulala · 04/03/2024 21:39

@RickyGervaislovesdogs thank you so much for your reassuring opinion! I really hope it is just from it becoming scabbed over!

That's really interesting.
Why not please?

indecisivewoman81 · 05/03/2024 06:32

I remember reading that ibroprofen is bad for chicken pox as it draws the infection in and can cause serious complications.
