Red area around immunisation site 2 days after getting them

Had pre school immunisations 48 hours ago.

They looked fine since getting them just a small red pin prick where the needle went in. Fine when I put little one down last night but she has woken with this?

I am waiting for 111 to call back. She doesn't have a temperature anymore. Very worried ? Could this be an infection or delayed reaction? Anyone else's little one had this?

Thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Most likely a normal reaction that vaccine is taking affect.

Looks normal to me. My arm usually looks like this the next day or day after a jab. It wouldn't occur to me to contact a medical professional as it disappears within a week.

Thanks for your reply's. Main concern is it's developed 2 days later not directly after and is hot to touch. Nurse told me to look out for that and if it happens get her checked.

It takes a while for the body to respond to the vaccine not usually immediate.

Totally normal reaction to imms 🙂 does she seem well in herself?

Get a biro and draw around the rash. That way, you can actually tell if it's spreading or not. That's one of the first things A&E did when DC2 had a meningitis scare.
The shadow of the biro mark lasted much longer than the rash did!
