DD was given a series of courses Azithromycin drops for her eyes not as antibiotic but to change the nature of the meibomian glands (she has recurrent chalazia). These course come in a set of 6 single use vials to be used 2X a day. She has the last two doses left and my other half just realised that the drops he put in tonight were from a previously opened vial from an older dose either this morning or yesterday (put back in the box my mistake).

I am freaking out that it may be contaminated and my DD might get an infection. What should I do?

Hi,
My son has been getting recurring chalazia for the last 18 months. I read that many people who have this have a vitamin a deficiency so bought him children’s eye health vitamins from Holland and Barrat (which contain vitamin a) and he hasn’t had one since.
