Hiya, Brand new to the site. I hope this is okay to ask
My daughter is 14 is being investigated for Crohn's disease or UC for the last 6 months.

Is currently having an episode although the same with the cramps, constant run to the loo has new lower groin-type pain dont think its a UTI. I think it could be a bug too. Doesnt know if she needs to poo or vomit or both. I guess it's getting the point of new symptoms and I dont know what is "normal" type pain anymore. I have already spoke to 111 they said the wait time to speak to someone in the area is about 5 hours. Google has suggest this site which I didnt know anything about

Hi! Welcome to MN. Sorry you daughter is going through this, what exactly is it you are asking?

I was recently diagnosed with UC. I was so worried during investigations as my symptoms were not in line with usual IBD symptoms. When I finally got my diagnosis I was reassured to hear everyone presents their symptoms differently.

Keep pushing for your DD, I was in contact with the GP for over a year before I was finally referred, diagnosed and now on medication which seems to be working!
