Bladder Training

My DD6, has never experienced a dry night and I always thought we just needed to wait for the vasopressin hormone to increase. However, when her school sent out information about the enuresis clinic, we started the process and has now been six months.

At the clinic they advised we started bladder training, which involves drinking plenty of water and taking regular toilet breaks throughout the day. However, she finds if very difficult to drink the required amount. She doesn’t drink enough at school and when reminded at home, during the afternoon or weekends, she says she feels sick if she drinks too much.

This has now become a power struggle, and she’s drinking even less than before. We tried different ways to make it more interesting, ice cubes, slice of orange/lemon inside, fancy straws, favourite bottles/cups, sticker charts etc. Still nothing, and to be honest my husband and I are getting tired of nagging her. Has anyone successfully resolved bedwetting through bladder training?
