Unexplained Seizures/ear infection

Looking for anyone who may be able to share some experience on what may be going on with my 2 year old.

at the start of Dec 2023 he started having ‘episodes’ where he would have seizure like activity.
His face goes bright red, one of his eyes can sometimes twitch and he does a swallowing motion. He remains alert and can interact with you but becomes so tired after that he needs to sleep. They last approx 30 seconds each time.
we took him to the doctors to said he had an ear infection.
Fast forward to today, 6 different rounds of antibiotics we still have an ear infection and the antibiotics now don’t do anything.
To start with he would get better for the week he was on them and the. 3/4 days later it would all start again.

We are already under neurology at JR due to an illness when he was younger (unrelated) and we have been referred for an EEG on the 28th Feb.
We have also been referred for a blood test (March 27th) and to ENT (Monday 19th Feb)

I was just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this and what the outcome was?

I cry everyday, there is just nothing worse then feeling so helpless and not being able to help him.

We have been to a&e, the walk in, the doctors and also the ward at our hospital (we are red boxed anyway) but any answers seem to be so long away 😞

Thanks ❤️

Also like to add we had a MRI in August last year (before this happened due to illness at 11 months old) and it was clear.
we have also had genetic testing for the same illness that came back clear

That sounds so scary. What an awful worry.
I have no answers but am bumping this for somebody more helpful 💐
