Eczema?

My baby is 6 months old and has all of a sudden got dry skin on his tummy, neck and back which are in patches so I’m guessing it’s eczema. But he also has a rash on his back which isn’t dry. He doesn’t scratch at all.

Could it all be eczema related or something else?

How long has he had it for? It's really, really hard to tell with eczema what could be causing it. If you have the heating on it could be that the air in the house is dry and that's causing it. If he's six months have you just started weaning, it could be some sort of allergy?
I think I would try to book a GP appointment I'm afraid.

started weaning last month. I was thinking dairy allergy but then I’ve breastfed whole time and seemed ok. Tried to book doctors appointment but they won’t see him for 4-6 weeks

Does your health visitor hold drop in clinics? If so you could try there.

I would still make the GP appointment, in the mean time you could keep a food diary and see if his skin gets any better or worse with what he eats so you might have more information when you (finally) get to the appointment. Four to six weeks is shocking waiting time.
