Bruised ear

Hi everyone. This is our first post on here. Our 4-year-old has fallen whilst cavorting about and has given himself a big bruise on the outside cartilage area of his ear. What do people reckon - draining the haematoma or not. Having googled it the advice is strongly for drainage. 🤷‍♂️

I would definitely not drain it myself. I don't know much about it but if draining really necessary take him to gp. Personally I'd probably leave it to heal naturally and if it doesn't show signs of improvement after a couple days take to gp

Can I ask what you did in the end? My 2 year old has just done a similar thing but with less bruising than your son and now debating taking to A&E or letting him sleep and seeing how it is in the morning. Thanks
