Hard lump on back on DS neck

Has anyone’s child had a hard lump on the back of their neck? My son has one, it doesn’t move and is painful if pressure is put on it? He has had it for around 6 weeks and it doesn’t seem to be changing in size. He’s not been ill at all. Thanks

Get a gp appointment, they will probably refer for ultrasound. My son had something similar and they ruled out any issues with ultrasound.

Ingrown hair and spot with lots of puss that can't find a way out

I’d not leave it any longer to get it checked, they’ll want to ultrasound it, and if they don’t, then insist. Better safe than sorry.

I was thinking an ingrown hair. That’s why I’ve left it so long

It might be a gland that's up, they can take many weeks to go. Definitely best to get a Gp to check though

My 19 year old had a small lump on his back. GP says a sebaceous cyst . Quite likely what your son has ?
