  • above range total white blood count
  • below range red blood cell count
  • below range hematocrit

It's not really possible to interpret isolated blood tests presented like this especially without a proper medical evaluation by a professional. I wouldn't say any of them jumped off the page as seriously problematic in themselves. Whoever requested the tests is responsible for keeping an eye out for any results of concern, or special reports. Hopefully whoever sees you will be in a position to put it all together.

I would agree with the pp, results can be out of range for a multitude of reasons. Also when results are out of range the severity can be hugely different, eg. A CRP out of range at 30 would be far less indicative of a problem than a crp of 200. If there was something that required immediate attention the practitioner would contact you directly.

What is the time line here?
When is the follow up appointment?

Worryer · 05/02/2024 13:01

Thankyou. Child has been feeling nauseous since bout of sickness in November (she felt v,v nauseous from Sunday night, finally sick the following Sunday). Bloods were done last Friday, follow up appointment is 12th Feb. CRP is 23 mg/L (upper range is 10)
