Chickenpox

My son's been poorly for a couple of days with a high temp, really tired, diarrhoea. I was told by his nursery last week that chickenpox was making its rounds in his room.
Does this sound like he way have caught them?

Until he gets a blister you can’t say. But they usually get the sniffles first.
