Cough medicine

I’m so worried
I have my 3 year old a teaspoon of calpol because his ear and cheeks are red. So he probably had 5ml. But when I’ve went to grab something in a different room he’s had a little mouthful of my benylin non drowsy cough medicine.
min worries and not sure what to do. Any advice?

but most likely it will be fine. those over the counter cough syrups are basically just sugar.

Yeah it’s basically sugar syrup and water.
And it tastes like shit so he probably didn’t neck too much of it.

i don’t have the leaflet that comes in the box but this is what it says on the actual box.It contains 3.5g of glucose 1g of sucrose per 5ml 179mg of alcohol (ethanol) in each 5ml red colouring 16.43mg sodium in each 5ml 10mg sodium benzoate in each 5ml.

Which non drowsy stuff is it?

It says not suitable for under 12s. Maybe call 111 to see what they say

Although they use the guaifenesin in kids cough medicine so should be OK if it was just a mouthful
