Chicken Pox? 🐔

Could this be the start of chicken pox? Blistered spot on tummy. He has had couple more red spots appear overnight but they aren't blistered yet. He is itchy, otherwise seems fine in himself apart from a cold.
Lots of cases at nursery over the last couple of weeks.

Yep. My DD only had a few that blistered, most were just spots.

Yep

The funny thing is we noticed the blistered one midday yesterday and then no more, this morning he has woken with another spot on belly, face and armpit. Can it take a while for all spots to come out? I only had it very mildly when I was a child.

My youngest only had a handful of spots, yet the other one was covered in them.

My DD got them gradually but then all of a sudden had them everywhere. Definitely looks like a chicken pox spot

Yes, and there's often a second wave around day 4 /5. Lots of people think their child has a mild case, and then get a bit of a surprise as loads more arrive.

Very likely. Do NOT give ibuprofen. Calpol is fine.

This is what the blistered spot looks like now, he must have scratched it in the night. Also looks like two more could be forming beside it as I can see 2 red dots just to the side of the big one.
