Cradle cap or eczema???

Happymummydays · 31/01/2024 12:07

She's 4 months old and I've been treating as cradle cap since she was a few days old but now not sure.

Going to see pharmacist but want to see what you all think beforehand so I don't let my concerns get brushed off if they are valid.

Thank you xx

I would say it's eczema because it's red and looks a bit inflamed. There looks to be some cradle cap there as well, that's the flaky more white looking part

Epaderm ointment (not cream) works very well Smile

The flaky scalp looks like cradle cap - but there’s no reason to treat it really. It doesn’t cause any harm.

My DS had cradle cap until he was about 2 and then it disappeared by itself. Once his hair grew you couldn’t see it - it didn’t cause him any discomfort so I just ignored it and washed his hair a couple of times a week with baby shampoo.
