Baby's pupils rapidly changing size - normal?

Just looking for a bit of reassurance because googling hasn't turned up anything!

I was breastfeeding my 3 month old earlier and at one point his pupils were rapidly changing size (from tiny to big to back to tiny again) while he was looking at my arm/into space.

After a bit he broke away and came off boob all happy and smiley at me like normal before going back to feeding.

This is the first time I've noticed this but might not be the first time it's happened (I've seen him staring at my arm/into space before but didn't really take notice of his pupils).

Is this something anyone else has experienced?

My DSs pupils do exactly the same when he feeds! I did find an article online which said it was normal and could be something to do with them trying to focus on something.

Is it not just when he's focusing on something close and then looking at something far away?
