Cough that won't go and vomiting

Hi all,

Miserable mum here wondering if anyone could share any advice or similar stories!

My 7 month old has always had slow weight gain (exclusively bf) and we are working with a dietitian (finally) to work out intolerances/allergies etc as we feel that may be the cause of the slow weight gain. Other than that, super happy baby, chilled out, sleeps fairly well, can't complain.

About 4 weeks ago she got the usual sniffle and was snotty etc and then developed a cough, and here we are STILL COUGHING with constant mucus etc. It's so bad that she projectile vomits a lot after a coughing fit, I constantly have to have sick bowls everywhere to try and save myself some washing. The few times I've caught it, it's nearly 200ml which is practically a full feed. Her weight is obviously taken a battering and she's barely putting anything on.

GP said chest was clear, she seems happy so didn't want to treat anything and said it's just something I have to ride out. HV seems so agree, but I'm MISERABLE - it's so hard watching her eat and drink to then see it constantly come back up when every calorie she takes in is so valuable.

Anyone had a similar experience? Do I just have to grin and bare it and hope it goes away soon?

Might be reflux😭

I thought reflux but it's only since the cough started and she can keep a feed down if she doesn't have a coughing fit afterwards, it's just if she happens to have a coughing fit not long after or during a feed it just all comes back up again 😭
