Can babies suddenly develop reflux?

My baby is 6 months and lately it feels like it’s impossible to make her happy or content. If I put her down she cries but if you hold her she’s constantly arching her back and squirming frantically - I’ve nearly dropped her a few times.

Google indicates reflux might be the problem but would this really come on at 6 months?

Has she got a tongue tie? Tried any new foods?

She had a tongue tie snipped at a month - they said it wasn’t a bad one but I was trying to. Breastfeed so trying everything. Maybe it’s reattached? She doesn’t take any solids yet.

I'd get that checked first and also her latch? does she make a clicking sound with her tongue when she latches? Dd2 went through a phase of being lazy with her latch which meant she took in more air was was more gassy

Have you thought of a sling? We have an amazing sling library near us where you can go and try different ones and hire very cheaply.
