Colic?

Baby girl is 10 weeks old today. She is breastfed. Since birth since been a very gassy baby, when she coughs she farts, sneezes she farts, has hiccups a lot. For the past few weeks like clockwork every day from 7pm she goes crazy. Cries this high pitch cry, goes bright red in the face, nothing can help her! I've rocked her, fed her, changed her but nothing very works. Has anybody got any advice? It's absolutely draining. I have two older children and I can't get anything done or desk to them.

Not much advice but I just wanted to say I’m going through exactly the same. Only difference is DD is 8 weeks old! I feel your pain mama.

Hi OP! Yes definitely sounds like colic! My baby who is now 5 months old suffered with it terribly , it's awful :( ! We used infacol & gripe water. Although it turned out our baby had CMPA (cows milk protein allergy) and a colicky baby is a symptom!

I understand how hard it can be! Does your baby spew a lot? (Spit up feeds) ?

Get a sling. Helps for both colic and getting things done.

O had a colic baby but younger and put it down to over tiredness plus wind.
My baby was the opposite where he just wouldn't wind but once he got head control the wind got better - so by 12 weeks he was able to wind himself.

Anyway - our evening colic kicked in at 3 weeks and by 6/7 weeks he was on a bedtime routine and asleep in his cot by 7pm and that worked for my baby - he needed to be in bed earlier then other babies. My next baby - don't go to bed til 10pm at the same stage.

So - potentially it will get better as they develop or you have a baby that gets over tired by 7?
