Slapped cheek or teething or something else?

Hi all,
please can people tell me what this sounds like please..

my lb is 23 months old. Sunday just gone so 3 days ago he started getting a little bit of a runny nose (not very noticeable only a little) and then Monday night he cheeks started getting quite pink before bed. Woke up, no pink cheeks and seemed fine. I let nursery know his teeth may be playing up due to the slight runny nose, on and off redness to cheeks and he’s also had his hands in his mouth constantly!
later that day nursery phone and he had a temperature of 38.4, seemed okay in himself still just cuddly and a bit grumpy. Since then so about a day and a half I’ve been keeping up calpol and nurofen, with that alternated his temp is anywhere between 36.5-37.2, when it wears off it starts creeping up again.
his red cheeks have stuck around a bit more today (will attach pic) and it looks like his top lip if affected too?
I took him to dr who said it’s viral. Didn’t suggest slapped cheek or anything in particular. I can hear he’s congested and has a blocked nose, now has a slight cough occasionally but think it’s more post nasal drip?? He’s been eating okay, not as much as usual and has pooed more today (usually does 1/2 but has done 4 but they’ve been okay)

could this be slapped cheek? I’ve also woken up today with a blocked nose, and a headache and sore top lip?!

thank you

Have you googled impetigo?

@DustyLee123 Just had a look, I don’t think it’s that! Cheeks not as red this morning if at all!
