Bleeding gums, at a loss

In august last year my son’s (15 months) teeth started bleeding when brushing. I have to do them hard as I have to hold him down and he thrashed etc - his gums were red so I took him to the dentist who said they looked fine. The Gp suggested bloods so we had these and all was fine.

Stopped bleeding but have now started again and his gums are red - he is teething again so I don’t know if there is a coincidence? I’m just so worried he has gum disease. Has anyone had anything similar?

Hi appreciate this is such an old thread but I am having the same thing with my 15 month old and he is teething. One molar has just cut through but we’ve had blood on brushing. Seems to have calmed down a bit now. Did you find out anything further with yours? Did it just resolve itself?
