Molludab for Molluscum

My 11 year old special needs daughter has molluscum and because she doesn't understand not to scratch it etc, the gp prescribed molludab which I started last night. Some of the spots are becoming inflamed but more and more spots have appeared since using the treatment. Is this normal? Is this the immune system realising its there? Would appreciate anyones experiences of molludab

Thanks in anticipation xx

No experiences with molludab, but I used colloidal silver spray on my DD's (following a recommendation on here!), and managed to extract the 'core' of one of them (lots of websites don't recommend this, but I read on here that this can kickstart the body into getting rid of them). With these two measures, they disappeared in under a week (!) after being there for ages

Haven't used that but tea tree oil got rid of my DDs

We used molludab. It’s likely that the ones that are appearing now were already ‘seeded’ and would have popped upanyway. Keep putting a little dab on every new one as they appear. It does work, but it’s not an overnight cure, so persist with the treatment. The earlier you can catch them the less likely they are to grow to the stage where they burst and spread. Eventually new ones will stop appearing. Good luck!

They flare and get angry before disappearing for good. It's the body finally recognising the virus and fighting back. We tried everything but with both my DD it lasted a couple of years then suddenly flared and vanished in a couple of weeks never to return.

Be careful when you apply it that you don’t miss and get the surrounding skin as it burns and is sore.

Thanks for the replies, she managed to pick up and spread it as she doesn't understand not to touch it. This picture is how it looks today, it is on the other arm too
