My 11month old has had a very chesty cough for the past three days constantly crying as unable to sleep through the night - refusing a few bottles but still drinking and eating throughout the day. Took baby to MIU yesterday doctor said clear chest no concern viral should go in 48/72hours keep up with saline, snufflebabe and cough syrup to ease the cough, no temp obs normal. But the cough sounds horrendous and chesty almost like mucus needs to come up but can’t… Im so worried still any advice? Calpol plug in also on and have been doing steamy baths to help airways

How did you get on with this? My little boy is very similar. I took him to the doctor's on Tuesday and been told his chest is clear but it really sounds like he needs to cough something up but can't. He's rattling and you can feel it in his back when he's breathing. He really struggles with his morning bottle.

How long did it take to pass?
