Weird spot on side of head

My 7 yr old is about one week in to a mild bout of chickenpox (just 3 or 4 spots around his face). However, three days ago this somewhat weird looking unchickenpox like spot popped up on the side of his head. It sort of sticks out a bit and is more or less skin coloured. Anyone know if it’s normal during chickenpox?

That looks like a wee skin tag or something, doesn't look like a chicken pox spot.

Thanks, perhaps just coincidental it came about during chickenpox. Do you know if very small ones go on their own or will it need doctor’s attention?

That’s what I thought too. Strange it popped up randomly during chickenpox though. Any idea if small ones like that usually disappear on their own or do they need doctor’s attention?

I would probably ask a nurse at the GP surgery just to check it and make sure it is definitely a skin tag (or pharmacy). DH had one and he tied a bit of string around it and it came off after a day or so
