Concern About Sudden Change in Child's Growth Pattern

Hello everyone,

I hope to get some insights from other parents and possibly health professionals regarding my son's growth and eating habits. Until he was 6 months old, he was above the 75th percentile in growth -up to p97 at his 4 months-, but now at 20 months, he has dropped below the 10th percentile. Additionally, he seems to have a very hearty appetite and eats quite a lot.

His paediatrician mentioned that it's not uncommon for children to experience a change in growth patterns during the second year of life and did not suggest any further investigations. However, I'm puzzled by the sudden change in his growth curve and the fact that despite eating well, he's not following the expected growth pattern. Has anyone else experienced something similar with their child? Could there be a growth-related reason why he's not gaining as expected? We're ensuring he has a balanced diet and he's active and energetic.

Thank you!
