Is this tonsillitis?

DS is 7. Complained or a sore throat on Sunday.... it was a little red but nothing concerning. Today his throat is like this.... is this tonsillitis. His temperature has been a little up and down but easily brought down with calpol and nurofen.

please don't judge his teeth. He has sensory issues due to autism

Also, his tonsils have always been enlarged. I was told when he was younger that they should shrink over time. How long is too long for large tonsils and how big is too big??
