Child bum looks weird

My child’s bum ( 5 years old) has red bum very very red but not itchy and hasn’t complained.

should I ignore it or put something on it ?
i am really worried about it
please advice

Why would you ignore it if it is very obvious? I would do as another pp said and ask a medical professional (nurse /GP).

If theres no rash or the skin doesnt feel hot, Id put on some form of nappy cream and see whats its like in the morning. If it is warm and there is a rash, maybe an antihistamine, or take a picture (carefully with no bum crack etc showing) and show the pharmacist to see what they suggest
