Paediatric Audiologist near Orpington

Could you please recommend a good paediatric audiologist near Orpington please? Ideally 30mins drive.

My child has Glue ear, a doctor from Chelsfield Hospital strongly recommended ClearlyHearing.co.uk in East Dulwich. When I asked if there is any closer, she said “no good one around here”. I didn’t like that statement from a doctor, but still went on that website to book. But at the last step, there is a drop down list asking how I heard about them, and the name of this doctor appeared on top of the list, which is really weird, I feel she will earn commission from them. Not sure if anyone has tried this clinic before?

Thanks

If you're worried about hearing you should be able to get an NHS referral through GP, unless things have got really bad I'm not aware that waits are excessive. Does sound like a bit of back-scratching, lots of private healthcare operators do have relationships with each other

My company provides insurance for the children, so I can utilise that instead of going through GP. I’m not sure about the wait for the specialist, only waiting for the appointment to see our GP doctor is already more than 2 weeks…

Audiology Planet based in and around Sevenoaks. He’s brilliant.

For a child then I would use an NHS service and only go private if I needed a second opinion or it was too slow to respond.
You don’t seem to trust the profit motive behind private care or you would use the one your Dr says they trust and recommend.
