8 weeks jabs, still had a fever

Need some advice! My little one had her 8 weeks jab yesterday, she's had her 3 doses of calpol every 6 hours, last dose was 11.30pm last night, she was fine during the night and the temperature had come down, however she has a fever again today at 38. It says to only give 3 doses of calpol after the vaccines? She doesn't seem too unsettled and is having a nice sleep atm, feeding fine too.

Hi, not to scare you at all but I think the advice is that if your baby is less than 3 months and they have a fever >38 (even if it’s after jabs) you need to see a doctor.

I would probably go to a paeds ED as they need to be seen today and likely your GP will send you in anyway.

From what you’ve said there are lots of reassuring signs and it may just be secondary to the immunisations, but I would go and get her checked out.

My little girl always had a fever for 2-3 days post vaccines. I would continue with the calpol but definitely keep a close eye, as someone else said, get her seen if you’re worried xx
