Hi OP, my DS was investigated when he was 6 for silent seizures. It was noticed at school one day; he had his hand up to answer a question and was staring straight at the teacher. The teacher called his name 3 times and he only "came to" when he was nudged by a classmate. He was referred to the paediatricians as he was also having headaches. They did an EEG and that was all fine. I myself have had these absent episodes (as has my dad, weirdly enough) and I will be doing something and just "go" - it's happened a few times in front of DH and he can't get a response out of me for a minute or so. I don't remember anything about them - DH just says I stare into the abyss!
