Hi all. First time mum to a 14 month old old. He goes nursery 1 days a week and has for 4 months. So far, me and partner and have sickness & diarrhoea 3 times. 2 times in the space of a month. I’m so exhausted! Is this normal?
Think work are getting sick of it now! Tired of spending money on nursery and him not going! I’m just so sick off it. Before this, baby had never been ill & I hadn’t had a bug in over 10 years. What are these children picking up?!

Yep, standard with nursery IME. Sorry you’re having a bad time.

we found far fewer illnesses and days off when we had a childminder instead for dc2.

It is normal however on the plus side my DD has hardly any time off school, I like to think nursery built her immunity system up! Very frustrating though when you're not only having to take time off work to look after them but also having to pay out for nursery that you aren't able to use, I feel your pain!

You can say nursery, I say biological warfare factory. Same difference.

Honestly! The bugs are deadly - if I was in my old age I’d of been wiped from the earth!
