We are in what feels like a never ending battle currently. My ds 5yo hasn't been able to hear properly for around 18 months. He's had many hearing tests that support this and eventually was given a hearing aid. 3 months after he got the aid, he had another test and we was told he now has good hearing so no need for the aid. Approx 2 months ago, his hearing started going again so we waited a while then after a month I spoke to audiology who said to use the aid while waiting for the appointment.
This week he had an appointment with ENT and he had another hearing test. The hearing test came back good so no need for aid, the doctor was rude and unhelpful which now leaves me in a predicament of my child claiming he can't hear but the test saying he can.
I will obviously be fighting for a secondnopinion but does anyone have an experience or explanation of why my child can't hear but is doing well on the hearing tests?!
