What is this red stuff in toddler poo?

I saw GP as DS who is 4 is sick with virus. I also show GP these pics of poo with red stuff. This red stuff coming out regularly with poo. It's hard and red so I am thinking dried blood? GP has given antibiotics and said after the course, if still red stuff coming out, go to hospital. Anyone seen this in any of their children's poo?

That's not blood -too red. Maybe pepper, chilli, tomato, plastic, playdough, wool. Can't get an idea of texture.

It looks like crayon or play dough.

Dried blood wouldn't stay that red.

Are these things like crayons and play dough dangerous when eaten?

Your toddler has probably been nibbling at a crayon. It's completely harmless.

Crayon?

You haven't been near rowan berries have you, it does look like something that doesn't break down as prev mentioned crayon, plastic, lipstick even?

They're both non-toxic. Kids are always eating them.
