someone told me mouth breathing is a problem as babies normally breath through their noses I didn’t know this and thought it was normal for babies to breath through their mouths my baby has had a snuffly nose since birth not sure if that’s why she’s breathing through her mouth she does breathe through her nose too but it always sounds blocked, and it’s never runny tho it’s always dry huge snots that’s come out I’ve tried saline spray and a snot sucker didn’t do much baby is 6.5 months

Hey OP, did you ever get any more detail about this? My 7mo DS is exactly the same.

It can be an issue- in DS and a lot of his friends it indicated enlarged adenoids and tonsils. DS also has a severe case underbite so he mouth breathes because of it and will need braces when he’s older.
