Chicken pox ???

So my dd2 developed a blister on the centre of her chest on Tuesday evening, by Wednesday morning it had burst but I wondered if it had been a bite of some sort.
Two more spots on her back Wednesday evening… Thursday I noticed another on her hand so started wondering if it was Hand foot and mouth. Took her to the gp who wouldn’t commit to anything, said it was a viral reaction as she had a mild temperature.
when she woke up this morning she had say 10-15 spots, some blistering, some just red.

current total is 47 spots but I’m not sure if this is chicken pox or just some strange viral infection, or worse bites in which case I need to get pest control in !!

my younger boy 2 is now spiking a temperature (mild 37.8) and full of snot so I’m assuming he isn’t going to be far behind her !
I know no one is a medical expert but those of you who’s little ones have have chicken pox please let me know if this seems similar.

Hard to say without seeing it in person but the spot above the ear does indeed look like pox to me - exactly the same as what my son’s looked like.

new spots can form over quite a stretch of time even as old ones are scabbing over.

Not that you asked for tips but we found a bath with Aveeno gentle daily wash worked wonders at scabbing over old spots and getting rid of it faster.

I would say if 47 spots very likely the Pox - hopefully she doesn’t get too unwell. My little boy was absolutely cracking in himself was just a spotty nightmare!

Thanks for replying !

she doesn’t seem too itchy either which made me doubt chicken pox. It is however still early days so maybe the worst is yet to come… fingers and toes crossed it’s a mild case and she’s not too bad.
i will nip out tomorrow and get the aveeno wash ❤️

One of mine had far less than 47 spots, but definitely had the pox. The fact that they are blisters which scab over is the tell tale sign for me, and particularly if they were ill before like the sniffles.
