What is this rash?

Hi all,
just looking for some advice. DS 2, has had a cold for a few days now. However a rash at the side of his thigh has started. Like little spots (pics included). The rash doesn’t seem to be bothering him as he’s still his happy self, do we think it’s just viral? It’s nowhere else on his body just at the thigh slightly close to west his nappy sits.

Hi Op, it certainly could be viral. Does it blanch when pressed with a clear glass? If not, I would get him checked (pin prick petechial spots should always be checked as it is bleeding under the skin).
