What’s wrong with her toe?

Need other mum thoughts!
DD7 started complaining this afternoon of a sore and itchy toe and has taken off shoes and socks. I’ve only just had a look and it’s fairly
swollen and red. I assumed it must be a hair trapped round it (like babies can get) but I can’t see anything. She’s not stubbed
it or anything but it’s really bothering her. Any ideas on what I can do to help it?! Feels crazy to consider dr for a toe but she’s really sore 🤷‍♀️thank you 💞

Looks like a chilblain to me. Snowfire ointment really helps

Do you live in a cold climate? Our son has chilblains when it's cold. He never had it in warm seasons. Our house doesn't stay warm enough in the winter and he was always barefoot. His toes would get red and often itchy. Keeping the feet warm has cured it for us. We escaped last winter without any issues. Keep an eye on it and see a doctor if it doesn't improve.

Sorry, nothing helpful to add about the toe but sometimes I go to the pharmacist for their opinion on minor ailments. Sometimes they will tell me to go to the GP, sometimes they will be able to diagnose and recommend a product to help x

Chilblain would be my guess. I get the all the time. I find it best to aim for slightly warm toes as often end up toaster than expected so if I end up aim for warm they are very warm and itching

If itchy apply firm pressure rather than scratching and try rubbing sudocrem on them. It should go down in a few days
